THE SHY HERMIT
The hermit is a shy creature that likes to hide under its shell, away from people.
When people are around, it starts to get nervous and trembles in fear. It aims to create a playful and surprising interaction for the users that interact with it.
Electronic components
All components used are compact and tailored to neatly fit inside the hermit's body and the product's base. The DC motor operates in conjunction with the stacked feather components, and the inclusion of wired, springy legs enhances vibration movements, creating a cohesive and engaging experience.
Demonstrating Function
The default state features a subtly shaking shell, drawing users in with curiosity. When the user gets close enough and wants to see what's shaking underneath the shell, they'll lift it up. Upon lifting the shell, it reveals a naked and shocked hermit underneath.
